The "Chemical Projects Engineering and Management" course of the Politecnico University of Milan for the students of the degree in Chemical Engineering and Safety Engineering held its last class yesterday. The course is financed by Maire Tecnimont starting from the 2017-2018 Academic Year, for a period of fifteen years. Now in its third year, the course took place during the covid-19 phase with online lessons in English and is aimed at strengthening the interdisciplinary areas between the process design of a chemical plant and the related project management and technological assessment issues. A rich presence among those who spoke during the last lesson: the professors of the course, the department directors, Maire Tecnimont Group President Fabrizio Di Amato and Group CEO Pierroberto Folgiero, together with the tutors of the course, also Maire Tecnimont engineers.

During his speech, President Fabrizio Di Amato traced back the history of the Group born from the entrepreneurial project of combining, in a single platform, the distinctive skills of some Italian companies, multiplying their value with new managerial skills. An industrial heritage, that of the Maire Tecnimont Group, which today contributes both directly and through its supply chain to the growth of its industrial sector, driving SMEs in the internationalization of the excellence of Italian manufacturing. "Our new challenge is to be one of the driving forces to relaunch our Country’s economy, from our sector to the supply chain, driving the segments that are interconnected: a goal pursued also thanks to the continuous and fruitful collaboration between the academic world and our Group".
Innovation and relaunch to be pursued also through the drive to industrialize the energy transition, as CEO Pierroberto Folgiero recalled while presenting to the students the green acceleration project launched by the Group with NextChem, its subsidiary dedicated to green chemistry and circular economy. “In order to play the role of industrial enablers of this transition, it is necessary to combine the technical skills of engineers and technologists with a managerial and entrepreneurial approach. This chair in Engineering and Management is another sign that we are walking the right path together."
