December 24, 2018 – Environmental pollution and oceans: the Pacific is vast and cleaning it with traditional methods would require a significant commitment in terms of funds and time.

The Ocean Cleanup, a Dutch non-profit organisation active since 2013 in the development of advanced technology for cleaning the oceans of plastics, employs alternative means. It creates artificial coastlines against which the ocean currents pile up plastics and then removes them.

The Maire Tecnimont Group is full heartedly behind the drive to safeguard the planet. We believe that focused action to change our mentality is necessary to promote a responsible use of plastics. This year, we have decided to support The Ocean Cleanup with a donation. For us innovating means to direct change for a better world.
