The Maire Tecnimont Group confirms its commitment to education by signing an agreement Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS, Azerbaijan) and the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome (UCBM) to foster international cooperation, intercultural integration and develop educational opportunities among the parties, also with the aim of promoting the growth of local content in the territories where the Group operates.
Inaugurating the agreement at the University Campus Bio-Medico in Rome were Vincenzo Piemonte, UCBM Chairman of the Master of Science in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development, Gianni Bardazzi, SVP Special Initiatives and Regions Coordination, and Carlo Nicolais, head of Institutional Relations, Communication and Sustainability at Maire Tecnimont Group.
The Understanding will provide professional training on the energy transition for the most promising students in the Engineering department of the two universities. The initiative entails the exchange of teaching aids and information materials, the exchange of students and faculty members, and the organization of academic workshops, meetings and programs. At the University Campus Bio-Medico in Rome there is an entire master's program dedicated to Chemical Engineering with a focus on Sustainable Development. Future proposals of the collaboration include the conducting of joint research activities, discussions of issues related to alternative energy and the possibility of holding energy transition trainings at BHOS, confirming the joint commitment of the Maire Tecnimont Group and the Azerbaijani Athenaeum to fostering the academic and professional growth of the younger generation, starting with the first partnership established in 2016.
