APS is a company founded in 1997 in Rome, Italy, and it provides integrated engineering solutions for the energy transition.
We actively participate in the management of the complexity of energy sources, and we find the most efficient solution covering all engineering project phases: from Feasibility studies to EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction).
Our multidisciplinary team consists of highly skilled experts that belong to chemical, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumental, and civil areas.
We guarantee an integrated high design level.
We enjoy a strong presence in Italy and internationally, and our experience includes projects based on the most reputable licenses available on the market.
1997
APS was born from the vision of its founder – Antonio Quadrato.
APS arose from the heritage left by CTIP, the first Engineering and Contracting Company in Italy founded in 1934.
2003
Business establishment in OIL Sector: the first EPC lump sum turnkey project for Split Reforming Unit in Livorno, Italy
2004
Business establishment in GAS Sector: EPCM for Snam Gas Compression Station Enlargement in Italy.
2005
First Major International Contracts for FEED and PMC for Grassroot Refineries.
2011
Major EP Contract for Tüpraş Refinery in Turkey with funding of $624 million guaranteed by SACE.
2013
Expansion in Petrochemical Sector: APS starts designing Synthetic Rubber Plants, working with different licensors from FEED to EPC projects.
2022
Establishment of APS Evolution Group for the strategic coordination of two operating companies: APS Designing Energy in Italy and KTI Poland in Poland, ready to respond to the challenges of the energy transition.
2024
APS Evolution Group has been 100% acquired by KT – Kinetics Technology (MAIRE).
Green processes allow to reduce the environmental impacts by rethinking traditional processes and by focusing on a constant and continuous improvement on each energy source.
In this scenario we are committed to supporting all our stakeholders in the way towards more sustainable and innovative energy design solutions.
From 2012, we are focusing on innovating solutions for bio-polymers productions plants and biorefineries starting from recycled materials, from agricultural waste and from vegetables raw materials (not in competition with agricultural and food supply chain) as a replacement of traditional fuel feedstocks.
In particular, we participated in the world’s first bio-refinery converted from a traditional refinery project, launched by Eni in 2014.
We can offer our experience gained in the fields of: eco-fuels, particularly in projects related to the production of green diesel and naphtha from palm oil and second-generation raw materials, as well as biochemical components from vegetable oil and biomass; pre-treatment, which includes the hydrotreatment process and the process that allows the production of biomethane from biogas; and plastic recycling.
The use of rubber is widespread, as the characteristics and properties of these elastomers make them useful in almost all economic sectors such as automobiles, civil construction, footwear or plastics.
APS designs and realizes mainly Synthetic Rubber Plants and became a leading provider of SBR – Styrene Butadiene Rubber solutions, working with different licensors.
We provide our services throughout the life of a project, and we can offer our Clients the best solutions in Oil Processing, Pumping Stations and Refining, including Utilities and Off-sites.
APS has handled many greenfield and brownfield projects related to the oil industry and gained an extensive experience in the design and construction of grassroot refineries and the realization of new refining units. We also deliver revamping, expansion, modernization and other services required for the successful implementation of refinery projects onshore.
In the Gas field we offer a wide range of services for the entire Life Cycle of Your Gas Project Onshore, mainly related to Gas Gathering and Treatment, Gas Compression Station and Storage.
We are committed to providing the most efficient and effective solutions on the market for monetizing gas by removing contaminants, purifying gas streams and producing value added products.
